Suspended between sky and memory, Murmurations captures the instant when thousands of birds become a single living body. This triptych translates into matter and light the phenomenon of synchronized flight: those aerial ballets in which each individual dissolves into the collective breath.

Across a frame of aluminum, strips of recycled leather interlace and vibrate. Each fragment is a wing, each crossing a wingbeat. Together they form a wave that moves through the three panels as a murmuration moves through the sky. Without beginning, without end. The palette drifts from gold toward silver in a slow, sovereign gradient: the gold of the living turning into the silver of the eternal.

Behind this contemporary gesture stands a very old memory. In the tradition of Romanian rugs, the woven bird is never simply a bird, it is the soul, sufletul, rising light at the moment of passing. To weave a bird is to weave a prayer.
